DECEMBER MEETING
We had a busy meeting in December. Before we opened the Lodge we had the winner of the OES Robin Rogers Award. The 2004 winner was Amanda Holland. Amanda with her Parents and Brother joined us for supper and were introduced to the Lodge. The Winner of the Scotty Canter award, Wesley Roberts were unable to attend. After an introduction to the Lodge and some short talks they were dismissed and the Lodge opened. The master presented Brother Doug Crawford with his 25 year service award and pin. Congratulations to Brother Doug, we hoe to see him a lot more in the future. The Master then had Worshipful Brother Bill Lane and Brother Joe Edwards brought west of the Altar. The Master presented Brother Bill with an Apron, Bahnson Manual and OSW and presented Brother Joe with an Apron and Bible. This was presented to replace these items that were lost in the flood. Brother Joe lost his house and all of the contents while Brother Bill house sustained a lot of damage and almost all of the contents were lost The Master of Clyde Lodge #453 Bruce Thomason and the Master of Pigeon River Lodge #386 Bob Paxton were brought west of the altar. Most Worshipful Brother Charles Cathey PGM presented them each with a check from the Lodges of NC thru the Grand Lodge of NC. Most Worshipful Brother Charles was assisted by Worshipful Brother Bill Howell DDGM of the 40th Masonic District. The newsletter is early; we want everyone to know of the installation.
INSTALLATION
The Master elect Brother Bentley Rogers has set Friday evening Dec. 17 at 7:30 for installation. This will be an open installation so PLEASE come and bring your family and friends. If you know of some one who might be interested in the Lodge this would be a good time to bring them. We will have refreshments in the fellowship hall after the installation. The officers should be at the Lodge for pictures at 6:00 PM.
WIDOWS BASKETS
We will be delivering the Christmas Baskets and visiting with the Widows on Saturday afternoon Dec. 18 at 1:00 PM. Brothers this should be a family affair. Bring your family with you and go visit with these Ladies. Try to go to someone you don’t know because you will be able to make a new friend AND we can never have too many friends. Brother Dallas is not able to do it all this year and needs a lot of help this year
MERRY CHRISTMAS I will try to do a better job on the newsletter in 2005 WE LOVE YOU ALL, The Hooper Family
