SONOMA LODGE # 472 MEETS ON THE FIRST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 7:30 P.M.   DINNER IS OFFERED BY O.E.S. AT 6:30 P.M. ($6.00)

  

March 3^rd meeting

 

After the Master opened the meeting we had an official visit from the DDGM Bill Howell, and the DDGL Steve James who gave us some information from the Grand Master.  Steve James informed us that there will be a school of instruction for the 40^th district on April 9^th at the Dillsboro Lodge at 9am.

Before the school of instruction East LaPorte Lodge will be having a country breakfast at 7:30 am. Everyone go on by and have a good breakfast then go on to Dillsboro.

Had a report from the scholarship committee and we are getting closer to having a scholarship for the children in the Bethel area.

The Worshipful Master presented the C. H. Marrow Jr. with the past Master certificate.  The Master also presented Brother Charles Bolden with a certificate of endowed membership.

The program was on Masonic fund raising and was presented by Master Bentley Rogers.

 

Sonoma Chapter #254 OES

 

The Sonoma Chapter of the Eastern Star will be having a poor mans Lunch and Supper on April 9^th from 11am till 7pm., this is to help pay for the tables and chairs in the fellowship hall.  We will have beans, taters, slaw and cornbread.  If you need delivery call Gene @ 734-3439 or Mike @ 400-0256. So Bothers go to the school of instruction and then come by the Lodge and eat a poor mans supper. 

 

Calvin Taylor Toy Ride

 

There will be a meeting on April 4^th at Duvall’s in Waynesville at 7:00pm.  This will be a planning meeting and we need your help.  To make this ride a success we are going to have to work together as the 40^th Masonic District not as 8 different Lodges.  We realize that this is on the meeting night of Oconee Lodge, this could not be helped because of so many different work schedules.

For the Raffle this year we have a real nice Grandfather Clock.  If we work as the 40^th Masonic District we will be able to sale all of the tickets.
