TOY RIDE: Once again it is time for us to collect stuffed toys for the hospitals and EMS units in our district. PLEASE BRING TOYS EITHER TO THE LODGE BEFORE SEPT. 10 OR BRING THEM TO JACKSON PLAZA ON September 10 BETWEEN 10AM AND 1130AM. Last year we raised over $7,000 for the Masonic Home for Kids and had over 400 riders. Join in the ride and go to the Stomping Grounds and meet children from the home, have good food and entertainment. All will be provided FREE OF CHARGE! Just bring toys for the hospitals. These toys are used in the ER’s to help children that have suffered trauma. These toys do a lot to calm children that have been hurt and have to go to the hospital.
Grand Lodge will be held on September 23-24. If any brother wants to go let the secretary know as soon as possible so he can make hotel reservations. This is the place where we as lodges have a vote and make changes in the code. There will be several changes to the code to be voted on this year. The changes will be discussed at lodge and we need your input on how the lodge wants to vote.
WIDOWS NIGHT OUT: The brothers of the lodge will honor our widows with a night out on November 19.
Mark this date on your calendar and join us for an enjoyable night out. Plans are being organized and if anyone has any ideas please let the master know. We want this to be wonderful night out for our ladies.
EMAIL: If you have email please email the lodge secretary. We would like to send the trestleboard by email when ever possible. This will save the lodge money. It cost the lodge $74 postage each time it is sent. This does not cover the cost of paper and printing. We do have several supporters that help but it still cost the lodge. Any email addresses received will be used to send information from this lodge only. The email list will not be sent to anyone. The secretary is the only person that can get email for the lodge.
BRETHREN: You will notice that we will be having a covered dish dinner be fore the first stated communication of each month. Come bring a dish and enjoy the fellowship before the meeting. These dinners are a lot of fun. You never know who or what kind of food will show up. The great thing about this is it is all ways good and a lot of fun.

The fall school of instruction will be held on October 1 at Sonoma Lodge. We will meet at the lodge and carpool. Meet at the lodge at 8AM. The school will start at 9AM and will finish after lunch. Lunch will be served by the Eastern Star and will be $6.00. We need as many brothers to go that can. Bring your OSW. You are encouraged to use it at these schools of instruction.

Brothers a good way to remember the dates listed above is to cut off the top part and put it on the fridge. This way every time you open the fridge you will be reminded. Think about it! It will keep you informed so you will not miss anything going on in lodge.
